Gals, Goodies, and a Good Time: A Galentine's Day Guide

When you think of Valentine's Day, what comes to mind? Maybe it's love, maybe it's showering your significant other with gifts, maybe it's red roses and fancy chocolates...or maybe it's just the chocolate (no judgement here). While Valentine's Day is great for couples to show their affection and care for each other, what about the single gals? Let's break the stigma that Valentine's Day is also called "Singles Awareness Day."

Here at The Bradford, we love our happy couples, but we want to make sure all the single gals don't miss out on the holiday. We want Valentine's Day to be more than buying the discounted chocolate on the 15th. You love your besties don't you? Show them you love them with your own Galentine's Day celebration!

Three things you need for the perfect Galentine's Day:

1. Gals

What's a Galentine's Day without the gals! But first, you need to invite them. Yes, you could make a group text or even create an event on Facebook. However, this special day calls for a special invitation. One with girly flowers, fancy lettering, and party details. Go one step further and personalize the invite with the gal's name in calligraphy. After seeing your invite, they just have to say yes!

2. Goodies

Okay, you might have been able to woo your gals with a fancy invite, but once you get them to your Galentine's Day party, then you have to KEEP them there. How do you do that? It's simple...GOODIES. We all know there's an inner Betty Crocker just dying to make an appearance for your party. However, if you are convinced that your cooking will scare your gals away...DON'T PANIC. There are plenty of talented vendors who can do that for you. You can take the classy route and serve macaroons and mimosas or even a DIY ice cream bar! Whatever you think will fit your style and your guest's appetites.

Goodies aren't always limited to tasty treats. If you are more of the gift-giving type, make a goodie bag of little trinkets and treats to give to your gals. Having a spa day? Fill her bag with nailpolish, a facemask, and a candle. Having a Galentin'es Brunch? Fill her bag with a letter about why you love her as a friend, her favorite mini champagne bottle, and a pair of earrings. Your Galentine's Day will make their Valentine's Day memorable!

3. A Good Time

Whether you're watching a romantic comedy, painting your nails, or enjoying a glass of wine, as long as you're with your best friends, you are bound to have the best Galentine's Day full of joy and laughter. So no more "Singles Awareness Day" or buying the discounted chocolates on the 15th (we still won't judge you if you do that anyways), you're Valentine's Day is now one spent loving your best friends and giving them a day to remember!
