Any Objections??

Happy Monday! We had a very productive weekend over here at C and D! We had a ceremony Day - of and 15 + centerpieces to make for the reception....plus 7 bouquets....and 8 boutonnieres...and 4 corsages...all that to say...a lot of flowers! I was so anxious about it on Thursday that I laid awake in bed all night thinking about just how we were going to execute this job! We have made the centerpieces and bouquets for many weddings in the past and they all went off without a hitch (the flowers not the wedding..haha...corny I know)...but these! These were a bit more intricate and elaborate than we were used to! Also, to add pressure...the Mother of the Groom was a florist! She designed these pieces and sent us a picture and a "recipe" to make them.

A future DIY post...I know you are excited!

Needless to say we had our work cut out for us! It all went well and I think we are better 'florists' for it! It reminded me of a quote I once read:

Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must first be overcome.
Samuel Johnson

And boy did we have some objections! One of the things that I love about this job is that it keeps you on your toes...running a small business requires learning a new skill every week it seems! What new skills have you learned lately? Anything that seemed mountainous at first only to be conquered by your skills in one...or maybe two fell swoop(s)?
