Flower Girls + Ring Bearers
Every little girl dreams of her wedding day: the dress, the flowers, the groom... So being a flower girl on someone's wedding day gives her a little glimpse into her big day in the future. Having a flower girl may not be a big deal to the bride and groom, but it is everything for that little girl who gets to walk down the isle.
On the other hand, boys may not dream of their wedding day, but they still take pride in their role as ring bearers. They ARE carrying the symbol of the bride and groom's love on a little pillow...so yes, it is a big deal!
If you're considering including a flower girl and ring bearer in your ceremony, here are a few ideas to make your guests go "awww" when the little ones walk down the isle.
1. Flower Crowns
Wearing flowers in your hair always makes you feel like a princess, so why not give her a crown of flowers! She will feel so loved when you give her a flower crown made especially for her. She might blush a little, but those rosy cheeks will be adorable coming down the isle.
2. Rings
Traditionally, the ring bearer walks the rings down the isle on a small pillow. You can make it your own by embroidering your new monogram on the pillow or you can go a different direction and have the little guy carry a glass box instead of a pillow. It's original and classy! Regardless, your ring bearer will feel very important carrying two very important rings.
3. You may not have any young family or anyone who could be a flower girl or ring bearer, but you still would like to include that in your ceremony. Here's a wild idea: ask your grandma to be your flower girl and your grandpa to hold the rings. Although they're on the other end of the age spectrum, your guests would love that original idea and how you included them in the ceremony.
And here's an idea just for fun, especially if you love your dog: tie the ring pillow to your dog's collar and let him trot down the isle! It's out of the box and original. Just make sure your guests don't have a dog allergy!
There's always something special about the way a flower girl looks at the bride. She might just be imagining herself in a wedding dress on her big day, but in the moment, she's just happy she's there!
